LaBarr, expressed his love for the true vintage sound of generations ago. A true sign of their particulars for details was their search for vintage equipment which included a Hammond B3 organ. Kickin’ Again’s dream “was finally put on track.” As Dane stated, “the journey started to recreate the magic and music of their youth!” With the finding of the organ in April 2008, their dreams were resurrected and a start of new beginnings for Kickin’ Again..

Seeing the crowd dancing and having a blast with our music makes it all worthwhile for us.” The music which Kickin’ Again plays, consists of “a mix of soul, rhythm and blues to classic rock dance covers of the mid 60’s through the early 80’s,” says the band leader. “With songs like Knock On Wood, Soul Man, Dancing in the Streets, Black Magic Woman and China Grove, we cover the best of the songs of our selected time frame,” states Dane.
